Can bags be brought into Comerica Center?

Bags and purses will not be permitted. Wallet-size clutches no larger than 4” x 6” will be permitted. Medical bags and parenting bags are also permitted. All permitted bags are subject to security inspection.

APPROVED BAGS INCLUDE: Clear bags no larger than 14" x 14" x 6" Wallet-size clutches no larger than 4" x 6" in effect November 12th Parenting bags

Is this a free event open to the public?

The cost to enter this event is a school supply and/or food item per person. Each person can bring something as small as a box of crayons or as much

as a book bag filled with school supplies and nonperishable foods.

What's the cost of admission if I don't bring school supplies?

$10 per person. $5 for kids 2 - 12. Kids under 2 are FREE

Do we need a ticket to enter

Yes. You will need a ticket for each person (2 and over) that enters the event.

Will there be other activities for people not on teams?

Plenty! There will be a DJ, general admission competitive games with cash prizes, cool inflatable games, vendors, and more!

 

What time should teams check-in?

Check-in begins at 2:00 pm. Teams MUST be checked in by 3:30 pm to be sure everyone is ready to play and has everything they need.

Do we have to have a team theme?
While your team does not have to have an elaborate theme, we do ask all team members wear matching t-shirts or colors to distinguish you from

other teams. But you can have as much fun with it as you like!

Can I be placed on a team if I come alone?

We will not be able to place you on a team if you show up to the event without one unless there is a team with members that didn't show.

Do I have to be on a team to come?
No, you do not have to come with a team to be included in fun activities, enjoy entertainment or buy from our vendors.

 

How old do you have to be for a team?
Teams should consist of players 16 years old and older.

 

How many people do we need to make a team?
Each game will require 6 players. Your team can have up to 10 players.

What should I wear?

We would recommend wearing comfortable, breathable, cool athletic gear.

​

Can we bring a cooler/outside food and drinks?
No outside food, drinks, or coolers will be permitted.

Are kids allowed?
YES! Juneteenth Unity Games is a family affair.

Is parking free?
Yes, parking is free

Is this event open to everyone?

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. This event was created to unite not divide.
